Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix Recipe
Time for pumpkin pie spice mix. You can buy it in major markets but why buy the pumpkin pie spice mix when you can make it yourself. This recipe is super simple. All you need to do is buy grounded spices and mix them. It takes about 2 minutes.
Mostly all of the recipes on the internet are this same. You mix together ground cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg. I was tried this and it wasn’t my dreamy combo so I decided to mix all fall/winter spices and it also wasn’t my dreamy combo. After few attempts, I decided to go with really simple spice mix and this was definitely my winner.
I highly recommend to you to try standard combo: cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg and if this not your dreamy mix I highly recommended to you my recipe for pumpkin pie spice mix.
My pumpkin pie spice mix is exactly the realisation of what I feel when I think about fall season.
This year was my first year when I tried the pumpkin pie spice and now, I can’t even imagine fall season without the pumpkin spice mixture.
Few words about ingredients:
Cinnamon is the base of this recipe, then we have coconut sugar which gives some sweetness and makes this mixture taste better, than cardamom gives such a cosy aroma and cloves give some spicy which you really want it.
Cinnamon – used as medicine in traditional Ayurveda and Chinese medicine. Knowing as medicine for digestion and gastrointestinal problems but also using like a helper with type 2 diabetes, metabolic disease and lower bad cholesterol. Rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants protect our body from oxidation damage caused by free radicals. The antioxidants in cinnamon have anti-inflammatory effects, which may help lower your risk of disease.
Cardamom – known from always as medicinal properties. Rich in antioxidants and minerals like potassium, calcium and magnesium. Rich in many vitamins, including riboflavin, niacin, vitamin-C that is essential for optimum health. The therapeutic properties of cardamom have found application in many traditional medicines as an antiseptic and local anesthetic, and antioxidant.
